"I'm so grateful..."

Another message from Eric:

"I'm so grateful and have recieved such a greatly(er) revelation of how it was for Jesus when he walked through out Jerusalem and Judea ministering, the trials and triumphs. The power and authority. The resistence by the subversive religious spirit, which is prevalent everywhere and, I believe, the greatest hindrance to the true work of God by faith and in the Holy Spirit. The gratitude and hunger of the poor and readiness to recieve. Also it struck so personally and powerfully from the Lord how in this world Jesus always ALWAYS humbled himself, even unto death. When Jesus humbled himself he was exalting His Father. Jesus never capitulated to false humility in the fear of man or threats of the enemy, no he always resisted them, still he always humbled himself with love and authority because of who he was. There was only one time Jesus exalted himself in this world and that was on the cross in extreme suffering.
Wow, the more Jesus reveals himself the more we love him and want to follow him and be like him, and in some cases we see how and where we are still so unlike him in certain areas of our lives, yet there is grace for the steadfast believer."

Home Safely... yet stories are still to be told.

Hello Everyone,

Eric made it home safely on Thursday, July 22. We are grateful to God for allowing him to minister so powerfully in India and then to bring him home safely to us all. I am thankful!! :)

Though he has taken almost 5 days to "recoup," he is feeling rested and ready to finish up his studies at Regent University... and... prepare for our wedding, October 10, 2010! :)

There are many stories to be told; however, I want to share a little of his experiences with you from the last days that he was in India. These are taken directly from an email that he sent me 3 days before he returned from India. I thought you guys might like to read about it all. :)
"I was on television twice doing portions of the Sermon on the Mount that was broadcast to over 29 countries and languages including the Middle East, places like Iran, Iraq and Saudi Arabi. On Patma's ministry broadcast I did Matthew 6 in a small television studio. Then I ministered Matthew 5 before one of the largest churches in Chennai and all of India for that matter. They have live television broadcast and it was before a live crowd of 20,000 people. Totally intense, total peace of God, glory to Christ Jesus.

Today (July 19), I go to St. Thomas mount and memorial. It is the death place of the Apostle Thomas, doubting Thomas. He was martyred here in the Chennai area around 1900 years ago. He made it all the way to Southern India preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ before he was stabbed to death as an old man. To this day Chennai has one of the stronger Christian populations in all of India. I can literally feel the difference in the atmosphere between here and Bangalore. Bangalore doesn't have as many believers and is not as open to the gospel."

May we continue to pray for Bangalore and Chennai. Please pray that the presence of the Lord would be just as evident, if not more, in Bangalore as it is in Chennai. Pray for the leaders to rise up and for the people to be open to receiving the Gospel of the one true living God...

Blessings,

April and Eric

What a blessing it is to joy in serving the Lord.

Still Enjoying India

Hello Everyone,

Again, I am posting on behalf of Eric. With Eric's permission, I would like to share something he sent me in an email yesterday:

"I want to send a short video clip, but it doesn't look like that will work right now. There are some great video and photo's that have been captured. You [all] will see them all up return. This evening in about an 1 hour and 30 minutes I will be taking the stage before around 600 to 700 Assembly of God pastors of southern India at a major conference. [It actually turned out to be 700-800 pastors]. I finally caught up on some rest today.

The Lord has given me such a greater revelation of what it was like for Jesus when he ministered in the gospels. I feel the Lord has been bringing the scripture even more alive to me and I've been tasting a little bit of the glory. :-) The people here are beautiful, the land has some major issues, but the people are hungry and are true believers in Jesus. Yesterday, after the meeting, it was heavy and powerful the Holy Spirit [the presence of the Holy Spirit was heavy and powerful]. I prayed for this older little woman and tears began streaming down here face, then she knelt down and kissed my feet. It was a bit awkward but unforgettable at the same time. Perhaps her story would be recorded in my journey."

So we can continue to praise our God for what He is doing in Eric's life and the people of India. It is soooo amazing!!!

Blessings to you all!!

Safely in India

Hello to All,

On behalf of Eric, I would like to thank you all for your prayers.

It has been a week since Eric left for Bangalore, India and it has already been a life changing experience for him. He is unable to use the internet right now so I am writing on his behalf to give you all updates.

Everyday they have at least two church meetings and some "spontaneous meetings" as well where he has ministered the Sermon on the Mount at each service. Today, he will be ministering for a congregation of 600 pastors. Please keep him in your prayers.

He mentioned that the Lord is moving in powerful ways. Although he is tired by the end of the day, he told me that as he "gets weaker, the stronger the Lord is. He makes up the difference." The Lord has moved in powerful ways and has displayed His anointing over the meetings and the people during his time in Bangalore, India. He has been getting great pictures, but is unable to upload any for you guys right now. As soon as he sends me some pictures. I will post them for you. :)

Whenever I speak to him, I can just hear the excitement in his voice. He is so grateful to the Lord for the opportunity to see His work done in a powerful way. He is so excited for the people and for what God is doing in their lives as well. It's amazing. Let us rejoice!!!

Below are some prayer points:
  • Anointing for God’s work to be done
  • Protection from the enemy
  • Divine health
  • Safe travels to Chennai
Thank you all for your prayers and for keeping up with Sharpero Ministries in India.

Sincerely,

April King

P.S. Please post if you have any questions or if you just want to comment. :)
